There are two ways to create assets in the asset management module.
Individual asset creation - This option is best for creating individual asset creation on the platform
Bulk asset creation - This option is best for creating/updating multiple assets at the same time
Individual asset creation - To create a single asset, follow these steps:
Login to your GoComet account
Go to “Visibility” then click on “Asset Management”

Click on “Create Assets”

Fill the mandatory details in the create asset form. You can also update the optional fields. Once done scroll down and click on the “Create” button.

Note: Unit Number once entered can’t be changed. Make sure to enter the correct unit number. In case you have entered an incorrect unit number, create a new asset with the correct unit number. And archive the incorrect asset or reach out to the GoComet support team to delete this asset.
Bulk assets creation
Go to “Visibility” and Click on “Asset Management”

Then click on the "Download" drop down and then click on “Bulk Upload Data”

Now, all asset data in the bulk upload template will be emailed to you.
Note: This can take up to 10 minutes, as the data has to be prepared and emailed
Once you receive this data, follow these guidelines
Remove the assets you do not want to update
Enter new asset details
Format of the fields should be followed:
Dates fields - Should always be in DD/MM/YYYY format
Dropdown fields - Use values that are allowed on the platform frontend only. Any deviation will give an error and prevent upload
Numeric fields - Can be upto 2 decimal values only
Alpha-Numeric - You can add any value here
Save the file once the changes are done
Do not
Make any changes in the excel columns
Change document format
Add any extra sheet(s) in the excel workbook apart from what you want to upload.
Once you are satisfied with the updated data in the template, go to the asset management module and click on the “Bulk upload” button.

This will open the asset bulk upload modal

Click on “Click to re-upload” button

Now select the document & click on “Open”
How to resolve bulk upload errors?
Any time you use the bulk upload feature, review the status. If you see that some of you assets have not been uploaded, you need to resolve the errors and reupload the template.
Review the status in the bulk upload modal to understand if your assets have been successfully uploaded

To get the error details, click on the “Download Status File” button

The status file is received in CSV format, and can be converted into excel. When converting use “|” as the delimiter.
In the error report
“Status” column - indicates which assets have failed and which are successfully uploaded.
“Comments” column - shares the field name with error and the error details
